Helping heat evenly distribute across a substrate prevents the heat from becoming concentrated and superheating the substrate. This attribute also helps to mitigate thermal shock from heat or cold exposure.

ThermaCote® can provide sufficient insulation for tanks, vessels, and piping with continuous operation at temperatures as high as 178C / 352F as a standalone product; requiring no additional insulation systems to enhance its performance.
When applying ThermaCote®, use 10 mils -20 mils /0.25mm – 0.5mm per coat and allow each coat to dry before receiving additional coats. This process is called a ‘build’, as the required thickness is gradually obtained by adding additional coats to previously dried ones until the specified thickness or ‘build’ has been accomplished.
